Sing Your Name

Over the past few years, God has been laying the seeds of a music initiative within our student ministry (FSM). For years, we have journeyed to Laguna Beach, FL, for summer camp. While in Laguna, God has moved in many ways in the hearts of the hundreds of students who have stood by the sea at sunset under a makeshift chapel to worship.

How we got here...

Through the years, we have felt God birthing music out of this movement of students and their purity of worship. Over the past year, we have started the process of recording some of this music and students. We desired to share what God was doing in our student ministry with our broader congregation along with others outside the walls of our church. Our goal was to provide a pathway for students to record songs they liked, new songs they have written, and to create a platform for them to share with fellow teens.

We felt that there were other places putting out music and have been blessed by that, but felt uniquely stirred by God to produce music "for teens by teens." In this, we desired to capture our teens worshiping and making music in the purest form possible without much polishing. We also desired to make it quality enough that they could share with their teen friends to enjoy together. We desired for teens to see other teens making music and hope this inspires them to use their gifts to glorify Our Lord.

Today we are releasing our first video titled "Sing Your Name."

This song was written and performed by 14-year-old, Francie Ozier. It is such a beautiful song that captures what our teens have been doing for years…assembling, together with joyful hearts to "Sing His Name." May you enjoy this gift from FSM to our congregation during this Advent season and also accept this as a huge "THANK YOU" for investing in our students.
