We talk often about being an equipping church. We accomplish that through our Sundays together, our Groups, and through life on life gospel relationships. We also want to offer regular Equipping Classes to prepare you as a minister of the gospel for your everyday life.Below are the Equipping Classes which are open to our church and others around the city:

Women’s Equipping Class – Discerning God’s Voice
Tuesday Nights, January 23 to February 6 (3 Weeks). 6 to 8 pm.
Clear, daily conversation with God through prayer is one of the most significant joys of the Christian life. This class, led by Nancy Holcomb, will equip women to more readily discern God’s voice in their prayer life. Onsite childcare is available for this class. Please indicate any childcare needs when you register.
Financial Peace University
Sunday mornings beginning January 28 to March 25 (9 weeks). 11 am to 12:30 pm.
Looking for some support and guidance to help create a plan for your finances in the new year? We are again offering Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University (FPU) beginning in January. Through the class, our FM Financial Stewardship team will you will walk you through the basics of budgeting, dumping debt, planning for kids’ college and retirement, and much more. Cost for materials for this course is $100 per household. The course will kickoff on Sunday, January 28 with lunch provided. Please indicate any childcare needs when you register.
Parenting Equipping Class – Grace Based Parenting: Four Freedoms
Monday Nights, February 26 and March 5 (2 Weeks). 7 to 9 pm.
Grace Based Parenting is a series taught by Dr. Tim Kimmel on how to love our kids the way God loves his – with grace! This class will include video instruction by Dr. Kimmel as well as table discussion with other parents. This two-night class will explore the Four Freedoms every child needs: Freedom to be different, vulnerable, candid, and to make mistakes.
Men’s Equipping Class – Seasons of Manhood
Friday mornings, April 13 and 20 (2 Weeks). 6 to 7 am. Breakfast provided.
Life for a man is not a simple, singular path. It is a series of back to back to back seasons of life which differ along the way. Come learn how to transition well through the different seasons of a man’s life. We will also explore the value of ceremony and rites of passage in the life of a man.
Race Equipping Class: Our Story Together
Sunday Nights, January 7 to February 11 (6 weeks). 5 to 7 pm.
Each of us has a story of how living in a racialized society has impacted our lives. This survey will seek to understand the biblical and historical forces that have shaped our lives today. Our hope is to be a church that continues to be equipped to think holistically about how the gospel comes to bear on everyday life. This class will be offered again after Easter. No childcare is available for this class.
