JD grew up outside of Atlanta, GA and began following Jesus at age 16. He attended Auburn University where he met and married his best friend, Elizabeth. After graduation from Auburn, they moved to Elizabeth’s hometown of Birmingham, Alabama to work with an organization serving elementary schools. After four years and two children in Birmingham, JD and Elizabeth moved to Memphis to open a branch of the company he was working with and attend the Downline Institute.
After a rocky first six months, they fell in love with the city and it’s culture. After welcoming their third child, Noah, home in 2012, JD and Elizabeth moved to the Binghampton community to do youth ministry and family advocacy. JD is passionate about helping people discover their talents and leveraging those talents to impact the world. He currently serves as the Connections Pastor here at Fellowship Memphis, Director of Students at Visible Music College and Coaching Coordinator at SOUL.
