Together Week Four: Celebrate Together

Acts 2:42-27

Greet everyone and check in on how everyone’s week has been.

  • Spend some time praying that God would speak to you.

  • Pray for other members of our church to hear from God.

  • Pray for our church as we more towards being more together.

What was something that stood out to you from the sermon this past week?

Acts 2:42-27

The Believers Form a Community

42 All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.

43 A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. 44 And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. 45 They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. 46 They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity— 47 all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.

1. Why do some churches pull apart? How can this be avoided?

2. How important is church unity to the health of the church? Why?

3. What helps protect church unity? What is your part in protecting church unity?

4. What must a church make sure it must include, according to Acts 2:43?

5. How does God add people to the church (v. 47)? What is our responsibility in adding new believers to the church?

  • Pray for specific prayer requests in the group.

  • Pray for someone by name that you know needs to hear the gospel and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior.

  • Pray for our church that we would truly come together in unity.
