Advent Season with

Hope has a name,

and his name is…

Wonderful Counselor

Mighty God

Everlasting Father

Prince of Peace

Savior of the World

For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders.
And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9:6

You are blessed because you believed
that the Lord would do what he said.

The Advent season is a beautiful time of hope and renewal. As we prepare our hearts for the celebration of Christ’s birth, we want to be prayerful and thoughtful. We hope this season, you slow down, contemplate and create intentional moments to draw near to Him.

As Mary prepared for the birth of her son, she visited her cousin, Elizabeth. Elizabeth told her “God has blessed you above all women and your child will be blessed.“ Mary responded with a song of praise. We find Mary’s Magnificat in scripture in Luke 1:46-55.

The word “advent” means “coming”. Advent is a season of preparation for the coming of Jesus- past, present, and future. Instead of jumping headfirst into Christmas for the whole month of December, as many of us are accustomed to doing, Advent invites us to pause and wait. Below you will find a Family Advent Guide and weekly guides for you and your group. Following Sunday service in December, we will deliver a guide below to help you focus your time during this advent season on the coming of our Savior.
